HABITANDO ESENCIA
Presence . Empowerment . Creativity
Retreat in connection with Nature from August 14th to 17th at Tierra Luz community, Arbúcies.

PROGRAM

'Habitando Esencia' is a retreat focused on exploring how to manifest the authentic expression of our being through bodywork, creative exploration, and observation/contemplation/perception.
During the retreat, we will work around three main pillars: presence, empowerment, and creativity.
Over the course of these four days, we will immerse ourselves in a space of reflection and connection, where we will explore body-based practices designed to support self-awareness, release tension, and expand our creative energy.
The program offers experiences both in the practice room and in nature, to allow a deep journey that nourishes our being, our presence, and our dances.
We will engage in practices that train our sensitivity and deepen our inner connection, along with others that cultivate play, creativity, and expression. From movement and presence, we will make a collective co-creation, encouraging connection with others, integration with the environment, and enjoyment of the present moment.
Contact Improvisation
A relational dance technique that brings us into presence with the unknown and the emergent through coexistence, listening, and encounters with others. There are no defined roles and nothing to “do.” It is an invitation to live, to be, feel, and exist in interconnection with the whole.
Autonomy, self-care, and the ability to make decisions while staying present in the flow are some of the qualities that blossom through the practice. We will work on group awareness and the balance between independence and interdependence.
We’ll explore how to dissolve fear of the unknown by nurturing trust in our natural creative, perceptive, and problem-solving intelligence. CI will be the fertile ground where we integrate what we’ve experienced throughout the retreat.
Subtle Dance
We will develop body awareness and inner listening through conscious movement and the use of crystals. Each session is focused on unlocking, strengthening, and fine tuning the body, preparing the ground for a freer, more present, and authentic dance. One of the purposes of this work is to remember the organic movement that already lives within us, that spontaneous, tension-free bodily wisdom. Crystals accompany the practice as vibrational tools acting on the energetic field, enhancing the intention and depth of the work. This practice is an invitation to build a receptive, listening body, one that becomes a channel for expression and creativity.
Kung Fu & Sacred Geometry
We will explore how to empower and integrate the relationship between mind, body, and action. Learn to organize the body’s structure to protect ourselves when opening or closing space. We willl work on setting boundaries, accepting or redirecting forces. Learn how to increase inner energy and release it precisely with intention.
Sensitive Perception in Nature
A space for deep connection and exploration with the natural environment that holds us. We will engage in exercises that awaken perception and refine our sensitivity.
Chi Kung
"Chi" = breath or vital energy. "Kung" = work, practice.
Chi Kung is a life-nurturing practice rooted in Chinese medicine that integrates gentle movements, breath, and intention. It allows us to feel ourselves, recognize ourselves, and regulate our energy on a deeper level.
Silent Exploration & Free Time
Moments of stillness and free time to rest, integrate and attune to our inner needs and feelings.

FACILITATORS

Gonzalo Ezequiel Barales
Traditional Kung Fu and Tai Ji Quan / Integral Yoga / Contemporary Dance / Contact Improvisation
His core concepts are: “Movement as Medicine,” “Knowledge arises from experience,” and “Enjoy not knowing.”
He has been facilitating movement-based awareness practices since 2007.
Gonzalo is a student of Eastern philosophies such as Taoism, Buddhism, and Vedanta, integrating the vital principles of these traditions into his movement practices. His approach fosters conscious and meaningful experiences that can be directly applied to everyday life.
His passion for knowledge, science, and nature inspires him to weave together concepts, elements, and objects, bridging theory and practice through explorations and exercises that integrate awareness, materials, and intention in action.
Joana Torelló Sentelles
She began her professional dance training in classical ballet, performing as part of the Ballet National du Capitole. Later, she expanded her practice into contemporary dance, somatic movement, and Contact Improvisation.
She is trained as a crystal therapist and is currently studying Unified Kinesiology, as well as training in Orly Portal’s methodology, which explores the pelvis as a gateway to unlocking the body’s vitality through the connection between mind and action.
Her approach integrates body, energy, and consciousness. She facilitates spaces that invite participants to listen to their inner wisdom and recognize what already resides in the body, using it as a landscape for exploration, expression, and as a return to what is essential.
