INTEGRANDO ESENCIA
Recognise . Organise . Dispose
Retreat in nature from the 5th to the 8th of December at comunidad Tierra Luz, Arbúcies

PROGRAMA

Integrando Esencia is a retreat focused on exploring how to manifest the authentic expression of our being through bodywork, creative exploration, and observation/contemplation/perception.
During the retreat, we will work around three main pillars: Recognizing, Organizing, and disposing.
Throughout these four days, we will immerse ourselves in a space of reflection and connection, where we will explore somatic practices designed to support self-awareness, release tension, and expand our creative energy.
The program offers practices aimed at deepening our sensitivity and internal connection, as well as cultivating play and shared expression.
Contact Improvisation: Contact Improvisation will be the fertile and practical ground where we integrate everything experienced throughout the retreat. It is a relational dance technique. There are no predefined roles and nothing to achieve. It is an invitation to live, to be, feel, and exist in interconnection with the whole. Autonomy, self-care, and the ability to make decisions while everything is unfolding in continuity are among the qualities that flourish through this practice. We will work on group awareness and the coexistence between independence and interdependence. We will seek to soften the fear of the unknown by nurturing trust in our natural creative, responsive, and sensory power.
Subtle Dance & Crystal Therapy: We will develop bodily awareness and creative inner listening through somatic movement and crystal work. Each session is focused on unlocking, strengthening, and refining the body, preparing the ground for a freer, more present, and authentic dance. The crystals accompany this practice as vibrational tools that act on the energetic field, enhancing the work and intention.
Internal Kung Fu: A practice to strengthen and integrate the relationship between mind, body, and action. It teaches us how to organize the body’s structure in order to take care of ourselves as we open and close our personal space. We will learn to create boundaries, to receive external forces or redirect them, and to increase internal active energy and release it with precision and intention.
Chi Kung: “Chi” means breath or vital energy, and “Kung” means work or practice. Chi Kung is a vital movement system rooted in Chinese medicine that integrates gentle movement, breath, and intention. It allows us to feel ourselves, recognize ourselves, and regulate ourselves deeply.
Philosophy into Movement: Taoist and Buddhist principles applied to movement, dance, and relational encounter.
Transition into Calm: A gentle journey from movement into silence. We slow down and invite serenity and rest.
Silent Exploration and Free Time: Moments of stillness and spaciousness to enjoy, where we can integrate the processes taking place and attend to our personal sensations and needs.

FACILITATORS

Gonzalo Ezequiel Barales
Traditional Kung Fu and Tai Chi Chuan / Integral Yoga / Contemporary Dance / Contact Improvisation.
His core guiding concepts are “Movement as Medicine,” “Knowledge Emerges from Experience,” and “Enjoy Not Knowing.”
He has been dedicated to facilitating movement-based consciousness practices since 2007.
He is a practitioner of Eastern philosophies such as Taoism, Buddhism, and Vedanta, integrating an understanding of their vital principles into movement practices, generating conscious and meaningful experiential imprints that can be carried into everyday life.
His passion for knowledge, science, and nature inspires him to weave together concepts, elements, and tangible materials in order to bridge the theoretical and the practical through explorations and exercises that integrate awareness, physical objects, and intention in action.
Joana Torelló Sentelles
Dancer, teacher, and integrative therapist.
She began her training as a professional classical dancer, becoming part of the Ballet National du Capitole company. Later on, she expanded her practice into contemporary dance, somatic dance, and Contact Improvisation. She has trained in Crystal Therapy and Unified Kinesiology, and is currently studying the methodology of choreographer Orly Portal, a practice that integrates ancestral knowledge from North Africa, the Middle East, and Sufi traditions with contemporary dance, exploring the pelvis as the “portal” of the body.
Through dance, somatic and energetic work, she accompanies processes in which the body becomes a sensitive and conscious territory. She invites you to listen to the wisdom that lives in your body and to integrate it from a place of transformation and healing.
